Shima

Shima
Laetitia and Gaston, affectionately known as Mama and Papa B, founded their coffee business in Rwanda with a desire to support their community and family through the resource of farmland. Over nearly a decade, their small washing station has grown into a family-run operation, now joined by their daughter Bernice, who has helped from a young age and is now driving the business forward with a focus on ethical practices and social impact. Rooted in community, integrity, and sustainability, Rwamatamu thrives on strong relationships with smallholder farmers and a commitment to continual improvement in coffee quality. Their approach—"petit à petit" or little by little—is all about adapting, innovating, and growing together as a family and with their community.
