Worka Chelbessa, a kebele in Gedeb at the southern end of Ethiopia’s Gedeo region, has earned a reputation over the past decade for producing outstanding coffees. Drawn to this quality, Negusse Debela founded SNAP Specialty Coffee in 2008 and later established his first site in Worka Chelbessa in 2017, expanding with a second washing station in nearby Danche in 2019. These sites produce pristine washed and natural coffees, including this natural lot from Danche. Though originally known as a successful tech entrepreneur in Ethiopia, Negusse was inspired to enter the coffee world after a life-changing pour-over experience in Minnesota.
